Does MeetingOS Record My Meetings?

Written by Andrew Ely

No. MeetingOS does not record or store audio for playback.

How it actually works

When you click Capture Notes, MeetingOS streams your meeting audio to Contio's secure private cloud in real time. That audio is used to generate a temporary conversation transcript — it is never saved as a recording.

Once the transcript is generated, it's used to produce your meeting notes and action items, which are then stored securely in your Contio workspace. The raw audio and transcript are discarded after processing.

What this means for you

  • You cannot play back meeting audio from MeetingOS — there is no recording

  • Your notes and action items are stored and accessible in your workspace

  • Audio data is processed securely and never retained

Should I tell meeting participants?

MeetingOS isn't technically a "recording" in the traditional sense, but transparency is always best practice. We recommend letting other participants know you're using MeetingOS to capture notes.
