Installing MeetingOS on Windows

Written by Andrew Ely

To use MeetingOS, you'll need to install the desktop app on your Windows PC. The desktop app is required for capturing meeting audio — the web version at app.contio.ai cannot capture system audio.

Download the app

Download the latest version:

Bypass the SmartScreen warning

Windows may warn you that the file isn't commonly downloaded. Our app is verified by Microsoft — follow these steps to install:

  1. After downloading, hover over the file in your browser's download bar — an ellipsis (...) will appear

  2. Click the ellipsis, then click Keep

  1. On the next screen, click the down arrow next to the Delete button

  2. Select Keep anyway

  1. If Windows Defender shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen, click More info, then Run anyway

If you'd like to help other users, click Report this app as safe and fill out the brief form. This helps Microsoft recognize our app faster.

Blocked by company firewall or antivirus?

If you're unable to download the file at all, your organization's security software may be blocking it. Contact your IT department and ask them to whitelist the download from app.contio.ai.

Finding the app after install

MeetingOS runs in the Windows System Tray (lower-right corner of your screen). Click the ^ (up arrow) to expand the tray and find the Contio icon. Right-click the icon to access options including Show Window, About, and View Logs.
