Does MeetingOS Work for In-Person Meetings and Phone Calls?

Written by Angie O'Hara

Yes — MeetingOS works everywhere you have meetings, not just on video calls.

In-person meetings

MeetingOS uses your computer's microphone to capture audio. As long as the people in the room can be heard by your mic, MeetingOS can capture the conversation. Simply click Meet Right Now or select the meeting from your Today view, then click Capture Notes.

Phone calls

MeetingOS can capture phone conversations as long as it can hear both sides of the call. To ensure this:

  • Put your phone on speakerphone so the audio plays through your computer's speakers or the room

  • MeetingOS will capture both your voice and the other party's audio via your mic

Video Calls (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.)

MeetingOS works with any video call platform — it runs as a background app on your Mac or Windows computer, so it's compatible with any video call service, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Slack Huddles, or FaceTime. It does not replace your video call platform, and it does not join as a bot.

Mobile

Mobile apps are actively rolling out:

  • iPhone & iPad (iOS): Our iOS app is in beta and we're actively accepting new testers.

  • Android: Our Android app is nearing beta and we're actively recruiting beta testers.

Want to join a beta? Click the Help & Feedback button in the app and let us know which platform (iOS or Android) you'd like to test.
